This week's curated videos are, like yesterday's Slideshare presentations, based on the theme of design.
Thomas Goetz is the executive editor of Wired magazine in the US and the author of 'The Decision Tree: Taking Control of Your Health in the New Era of Personalized Medicine.' In this TED talk, he explores ways of re-designing medical data such that people can actually understand them, and more importantly, take actions to improve their lives as a result, instead of being handed medical reports full of numbers that no one but doctors themselves can really understand.
Jay Rogers is the CEO of Local Motors, an American car company that sells cars co-designed by the community. He narrates the experiences that led to his co-founding the company - a company that puts all of the data related to the design of the company online - a practice that is almost unheard of in the automotive industry.
Bruce Nussbaum is contributing editor to Business Week, and was named as one of the most powerful people in design by I.D Magazine in 2005. This short 3-minute video, part of the Konstfack Design Talks, sees him talking about the methodology and application of design thinking.
