After the success that was our last call for a designer (look how happy he was to join us!) we thought we’d give it another go.

We’re looking for a couple of junior to mid-weight designers, creative geek types obsessed with the coming web and fiendish about making new things. This could be your first job or you could have a bit of experience behind you – either way, your attitude is more important than your work history.

We want someone brave, bold, talented and relentlessly willing to fail. We’re *not* interested in people who want to design banner ads and out-of-the-box microsites. If you want to punch the clock and fade into the background, this job isn’t for you.

We’re looking for designers who are excited to be involved at any and every stage of the project, from workshops and idea creation to prototyping and high-fidelity designs. Designing at Made by Many means thinking, talking, collaborating and learning. While some of your time will be spent behind a computer using Photoshop and Illustrator, a lot of it will be spent with pen and paper in hand, visualising your ideas and the services we make.

Personality is important: we’re a small agency and we all respect each other. We also respect each other’s work, so you need to be comfortable talking about your work and the thinking behind it. We won’t throw you to the client lions from day one, but we will expect you to be able to articulate and defend your ideas to the rest of the team.

It goes without saying that you must love the internet and the possibilities it offers. But you also need to believe that design is more than just how something looks: it’s how something looks, works and fits into the world around it.

Sound like you? Get in touch with a short intro and a link to your work: [email protected].

You: Hey.

Me: Hey.

You: Cool party, huh?

Me: Yeah, pretty cool.

You: So what do you do?

Me: Um, I'm a designer.

You: Oh cool! What kind of a designer?

Me: Eh, like services and stuff, I guess. On the internet. I really like doing physical stuff too. Um, yeah, it's probably pretty boring.

You: No, no, it sounds really interesting - what do you mean?

Me: Well, I mean...I guess I'm more of a product designer than a graphic designer, you know, its not just about communication, you have to really understand the technology you work with as well as understand the user...

You: (stares blankly)

Me: We try make things that people interact with rather than just consume...(trails off into incoherent babble…looks really uncomfortable)

You:...I'm gonna go over there and do something else.

Me: (laughs nervously...shuffles feet...dies inside)
